Innovation and Farm Lab Development

Julie Burton is the Coordinator of Innovation and Farm Lab Development for Encinitas Union School District. She oversees development of the on-site facilities, district farm-to-school efforts, and the DREAMS Campus educational programming (Design, Research, Engineering, Art, Math, and Science). She is inspired and driven by the district vision to provide real-world, project-based learning opportunities at Farm Lab that deepen student understanding of health and wellness, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. Julie was previously the International Baccalaureate Coordinator at Ocean Knoll Elementary School, as well as the Summer Academy Principal for the district. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
