ECO Rotarians Picking Things Up in Coronado
Continuing our commitment to make a difference in our environment, a group of Eco Rotarian carpooled (in Dick's electric car), down to Coronado to join the Coronado Rotary Club in a beach cleanup. We were graciously equipped with a picker, gloves, bag and... very cool Rotary vests!
The beach in Coronado during the winter was pretty clean until... Dick Stevens discovered an outfall from the island's storm drain system. As we ECO Rotarians know, a treasure trove of debris was found and we proudly headed back with respectably filled bgs of trash!
Eco Rotarians Lynn and Dick Stevens were joined with Coronado Rotarians Frank sSpritzer and Lee Freeman. After cleaning Coronado we all met at Bay Books for coffee and fellowship.
