The Escondido Creek Conservancy
Meghan Williams

Meghan (Trejo) Williams
Development Associate at The Escondido Creek Conservancy

Meghan was born and raised in North County San Diego, 4th generation. She is a nature lover and avid equestrian. She grew up in Elfin Forest and riding along Escondido Creek and exploring its surrounding spaces, in search of a trail to the beach on horseback. She believes this exposure to nature and free rein to explore at a young age made her advocate for nature and lead her to the work she does today. She received a degree from Chico State, attending Chico deepened her love for nature and our state through exploring the Sierra Nevadas, the lakes and rivers of northern California, and seeing the differences and similarities in the habitat and wildlife. She has been with Escondido Creek Conservancy for 4 years, she is the Development Associate and helper to all departments (especially the land team, as she loves to be outside working). On a personal note, her parents still live in Elfin Forest, she lives in Bonsall with her husband, 2 kids, horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and a pot-bellied pig.
