Kathy Nicholson is an energy engineering professional with over 30 years of experience helping businesses and homeowners produce and use clean energy efficiently and cost effectively.  As an independent energy consultant and Principal of Nicholson Energy Consulting LLC, she specializes in electrification and solar microgrid design for residential and small commercial operations.  Before forming Nicholson Energy Consulting, Kathy was a Consulting Engineer and Project Manager at Southern California Edison where she helped hundreds of commercial and industrial customers electrify and improve the efficiency, cost effectiveness, and profitability of their operations.  She also led projects with customers to demonstrate emerging, efficient, electric technologies as alternatives to fossil fuel technologies.
