Description: The presentation will cover broad concepts related to carbon accounting, which allows entities to build inventories of their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, establish baselines, and implement strategies to reduce their emissions. Topics will include the definition of organizational and operational boundaries, carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e), and global warming potential. A brief description of the history and work of The Climate Registry will also be covered.

As Director of Registry Services, Charles Pope is responsible for leading the administration and advancement of TCR’s voluntary GHG reporting programs, managing annual and multi-year resource planning and budgeting for Registry Services, and strategically identifying new services that support TCR’s mission.
