Investing in our own back yard
Jen Flynn

Jen has been investing in raw land in southern California since 2009 after the 2008 stock market crash.  In 2010, Jen got her real estate license and began selling land as an alternative investment to clients, literally around the world. Anyone can own land in California.

As a Land Banker and Unit Manager in San Diego for Velur Enterprises, Jen owns 16 properties now. She sold one property after holding it for eight years and made a 245% return on the investment. Jen helps people invest in land in the path of development where expertly researched properties normally outpace the stock market and with lower risk.

The location Jen focuses on is in Antelope Valley, CA, which is just an hour northeast of Los Angeles. Here, over 58 billion dollars of private and county investment in green technology like solar facilities, electric buses, and battery storage, has been implemented just within the last seven years.

One of Jen’s proudest accomplishments outside of work is opening a foster home in DaNang, Vietnam, to stay connected to the community she once lived in. At the foster home, there are 18 girls who have access to education, clothing, food, medical care, and tutors. Jen and her wife host a fundraiser annually to raise $65,000 to cover all of the expenses for the 18 young women, many of whom graduate from high school and go on to college.

Two years ago, Jen and her wife bought a house in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and fully remodeled the home into a stunning 2-unit Air BNB. The profits from Casa De Gratitude go toward Mary’s House in Vietnam and the local Mexican community.

Jen’s goal is to fully retire in 10 years and travel with Lauren who will work part-time with Doctors Without Borders!
