Make Polluters Pay Campaign

High school members of Youth v. Oil, a youth-led team under local climate action non-profit SanDiego350, will be presenting on their Make Polluters Pay Campaign.  The Polluters Pay Climate Superfund is the largest piece of climate legislation in California this year! It would require the largest fossil fuel polluters from 1990-2024 to pay their fair share for the damages they've caused, like the recent wildfires in LA which are expected to cost $250 billion dollars. After the bill has faced some delays in Judiciary Committees, it's more important now than ever to pressure legislators to vote in support of the bill.  The presentation will cover information on the bills, the campaign, and action items.
