The speaker at this day's meeting was John Cuoco, reporter for WHDH news who told us about the development of his career in news reporting.

John talked about how thrilled he is  to once again call Massachusetts his home. John grew up in Wilmington. He attended Austin Prep in Reading for middle and high school. For College, John didn’t stray too far and went to the University of Rhode Island. At URI, John ran cross country and track for the Rams. He studied journalism there and was even a summer intern at 7News in with sport department.

Once college ended, John immediately got his first job in television working for ABC40 in Bryan/College Station Texas. From there it was on to Waco, TX then four years working in Milwaukee, WI where he won an Emmy. Finally, in the summer of 2015, John was able to come back to Massachusetts and start reporting at 7News.

For John, covering news in Massachusetts and the rest of New England is a dream come true. This has always been his goal. John takes pride in his home state and hopes that pride comes across in his work.
