CLUB NEWS Wednesday’s ProgramSpeaker - John Ferrari, Elder Law Attorney, will update members on the current state of Florida's Elder Laws and recent legal activity involving elders in our state.
If you may at some time become an "elder" or perhaps are an elder, John's presentation will be important to your future. This would be a good time to ask those questions you've wanted to ask an Elder Law Attorney (but didn't want to be charged a fee).
Food Drive - Our new total is 3,338 pounds - we're on track but with "season" about over we'll need to pick up the pace. Keep the Food-O-Meter moving towards our 5,000 pound goal, bring a food donation for All Faiths to Wednesday's meeting. (Its OK, really - bring something.)
Board Elections - Board Member elections were held LAST Wednesday. A full Board slate was approved as nominated.
Reminder - KGB (Kiwanis Ball Drop) is both a fundraiser and an event. Bring your ball log and money Wednesday to give to Pete Kiziu. Plan on joining us at the Palm's Golf Course Friday, May 4th at 5:30 for the KGB "Happy Hour" Social and Ball Drop. Either way you're a winner.
Other Reminder - Our Giving Challenge begins NOON May 1st and ends NOON May 2nd. Your donation will be matched 1:1 by the Paterson Foundation (just saying).
Safe Travel - to Our Snow Birds migrating north: Jim & Ann Mattson, Lyle & Elaine Brion, Stewart Horn, Dan Lundy, and Richard Raison. See you next season.
Don't Forget - Kids Need Kiwanis! It's why we do what we do.
