CLUB NEWS  
  Wednesday - The Strategic Planning Committee will present the results of our "Community Survey" looking into the unmet needs of children in our community.  The presentation will include a description of who was surveyed and, most importantly, the results.  Members will be asked their opinion on which of the unmet needs should be the focus of our Club's time and treasure going forward.  Bill Irish will lead this presentation.

Wilkinson Elementary is looking for Mighty Volunteers - Wilkinson Volunteers do make a difference at Wilkinson.  You can be one of them.  Here's a LINK to the list of opportunities.

Food Donations - As of a week ago, 4,876 pounds of food has been donated to All Faiths Food Bank.  That 5,000 mark is sooooo close.  Bring a food donation Wednesday and put this year's Club & Condo drive over the top

It's BOTH Social & Business - Our installation dinner for the 2018-2019 Kiwanis Year is scheduled for Saturday September 22nd at Mattison's Forty-One on South Tamiami.  New officers and Director's will be installed of course.  Members will be recognized for their contributions and service during the prior year.  New members will be introduced and formally installed.  In the past this event has been well attended in large part because members bring spouses and invite friends - it's a Party.  This time will be no exception.  Mark your calendar, expect emails then RSVP for a great evening.

Congratulations Mary-Lynn Desjarlais - Florida District's new Vice Governor.  Mary-Lynn was confirmed at the recent District Convention in Orlando.  Do your best to make a fuss and embarrass her.  (OK, make a fuss, she's beyond embarrassment.)
