Our members recently attended the Wisconsin Upper Michigan Kiwanis Division 10 Governor's Visit at Stadium View in Green Bay. It was a great night of networking, sharing best practices, and get updates on what is all happening within Kiwanis International.
Governor Tim Lubinsky updated the group that the three focuses of Kiwanis is to:
1. Build membership and start new Kiwanis Clubs to expand the mission
2. Continue to train and share best practices/ideas to continue to develop leaders and create new projects/fundraisers.
3. Continue to support our Service Leadership Programs to build the next generation of leaders for our communities.
Governor Tim updated us on his Governor's project to remodel the women's bathrooms at Camp Wawbeek. As part of the night, the clubs that attended donated $1,750 towards that project. Paul Shrode educated attendees regarding how the District Foundation can financially support clubs with their projects and scholarships. President Ben Gunderson was a great MC for the event and thank you to Lt. Governor Peter Carman for coordinating the planning committee for the night.
