During the April 7 weekly meeting of the Appleton-Fox Cities Kiwanis, President Anthony Snyder presented two certificates of honorary Kiwanis membership to Larry “Bogey” and Sue Bogenschutz, owners of Atlas Water Front Café and Gathering Room.

For the past year, the Appleton-Fox Cities Kiwanians have been meeting at the Atlas site while a previous meeting location was under renovation. In Janaury 2017, the Kiwanis Board of Directors made a decision – with member input – to permanently relocate to Atlas.
President Snyder said, “Sue and Bogey have thrown open their doors to welcome us here, not as tenants, but as part of their family.”  He made reference to the beautiful gathering space where weekly meetings are held, the installation of banners and plaques throughout the facility and providing space for both committee and Board meetings.

As honorary membership certificates were presented, Sue gave Snyder a big hug and said, “It’s an honor to be associated with such great people as the Kiwanians!”

Kiwanis Honorary Membership is a special membership type granted to individuals upon a vote of the local Kiwanis’ Board of Directors to thank community leaders or Kiwanis supporters for extraordinary support to the club.
