The annual Appleton Old Car Show and Swap Meet held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Pierce Park, is a car lover’s dream.  Car collectors and enthusiasts at the 44th annual event, the largest free car show in the Midwest, viewed an estimated 1,000+ cars dating back to the early 1900s. There were families passing on a bit of nostalgia to their children and grandchildren, and still others just gawking at the sheer coolness of the vehicles.
But the heart of car show and swap, and all that have come before it, are the stories about the cars themselves and the lives of the people they touched, both owners and others who wax poetic about once owning the very same vehicle.

In 1982, the Kiwanis Club of Appleton-Fox Cities became the show’s sponsor and has remained and an involved partner ever since.  By being a major sponsor of the Appleton Old Car Show and Swap Meet, the Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Club leaves a legacy for the community; by bringing permanent enhancements in Pierce Park and providing an inexpensive, family-friendly community event. The Kiwanis Club has a reputation for excellence and dependability with events management and has helped sustain the event.

The car show is presented cooperatively by: Appleton Old Car Club, Inc., Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis, Fox Valley Street Rod Association, Packerland Region Vintage Chevrolet Club of America, and Hope Riders Equestrian Drill Team.
