On Saturday, June 20, the Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Club, in partnership with Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin, welcomed hundreds of families to City Park for the 16th Annual Fox Cities Butterfly Festival. The free community event once again brought together children, parents, volunteers, sponsors, and community organizations for a memorable morning celebrating family, education, and the beauty of nature.
More than 30 interactive booths, games, educational displays, entertainment, face painting, healthy snacks, giveaways, and play areas provided something for everyone to enjoy. Local organizations engaged families through hands-on activities that encouraged learning, exploration, and healthy living while creating lasting memories.
The highlight of the festival was the annual butterfly release, where registered attendees released butterflies together as a symbol of hope, growth, and our shared commitment to "Helping Families Fly." Watching hundreds of butterflies take flight remains one of the most meaningful traditions of the festival and a special experience for children and adults alike.
The Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Club extends its sincere appreciation to Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin, our sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, entertainers, and community partners whose generous support made this year's event possible. Their commitment to serving children and families continues to make the Fox Cities Butterfly Festival one of the area's favorite free family events.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's festival. We look forward to welcoming families back next year for another exciting morning filled with fun, education, adventure, and community as we continue our mission of serving the children of the Fox Cities.
