Kiwanis is more than coming to a Friday meeting. It all starts with our active committees.

Car Show (Chairs: Colleen Cooper/Linda Breitzman) 
This committee coordinates food and beverages for the Appleton Car Club annual car show at Pierce Park 
Finance and Fundraising (Finance Chair: Colleen Cooper/Jeff Walters)  
This committee will advise the board of directors on financial matters, take the lead in establishing new fundraising projects, and assembles the annual budget.
Golf Fore Children (Chairs: Harriet Redman and Jarrad Bittner)  
This committee is responsible for locating and securing a golf course, sponsorships, soliciting for door prizes, raffle items and hole events. Proceeds of the event have gone to two partnering non-profits and our own charities 
House (Chair: Sherm Jansen)  
This committee will ensures that our weekly meetings/roundtables are appropriately set-up, beverages are ready, 50/50 tickets are ready to be sold, greeter has been scheduled and prayer volunteer is ready.
Interclub (Chair: Sarah Long-Radloff)    
This committee seeks to have our club meet with a minimum of 10 other clubs in our area (need a minimum of 3 members from each club to count). 10 is the magic number to win a Round Robin award. The focus here is getting members to engage in fellowship with other Kiwanians and see the functioning of other clubs.

Kidz Expo Committee (Chair: Jean Long Manteufel/Paul Shrode)
This committee is responsible for planning; logistics; soliciting sponsors, activities, vendors and logistics of this signature community project.  Kidz Expo is a family event that is fun, educational and adventurous. 

Membership (Chairs: Jay Stephany and Tom Suttner)   
This committee will leads the efforts to recruit new members into the club. Follows up with existing members who may appear to be drifting away via phone, email or cards. Responsible for our annual membership survey. Also handles cards for bereavement, sick or happy occasions.
Programs and Education (Chair: Rosemarie Dick)  
This committee secures our regular weekly presenters to ensure lively, entertaining, informative experiences. Also may look to add more informal activities at Round Tables. Will take on Inspirational Breakfast, Annual Meeting and other special Friday AM events as needed.
Public Relations and Marketing (Chairs: Mary Ann Wepfer/Jay Stephany)  
This committee leads all public relations, media relations, web site/ClubRunner/Facebook communications. Will also look at banners, advertising, etc.
Service Committee (Chair: Jim Pierce and Dawn Malcom)    
This committee leads the club’s community volunteering and outreach efforts.  Past/Possible Future Activities: Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Cub Scouts sponsorship, Christmas Tree Lighting in the Park, Christmas Party for Kids, Bike Collection, Refugee Furniture Collection, Bowling with the Boys and Girls Club, Old Glory Honor Flight, Miracle League, Food Collection, Help for the Homeless, Reading at Horizon School, Highway Clean Up, Post Crescent Quarterly Do-It Campaigns, Community Clothes Closet, Salvation Army Lunch, Kiwanis One Day, Willow Heart, Center for Grieving Children, Harbor House Painting and the list goes on!
Social Committee  (Chair: Ellen Klug)   
This committee leads efforts to engage our membership outside of regular weekly meetings and volunteer activities. Focuses on social and entertainment events. Past activities included: Christmas Parties, Trivia Contest, Search for Perch (4 Fridays), Happy Hours, Boating at Wepfers, Planetarium Event, etc.
Sponsored Programs Committee (Chairs: John Polansky)
This committee oversees the relationship with the Aktion Club, the Key Club at ANHS and the Kiwanis K-Kids (Elementary) at Park School. Other efforts may include establishing a Kiwanis Builders Club (Middle School) or Circle K (College).
