Highway Clean-up is a good project for members who want to do service work but have limited time. Usually we can complete our highway clean-up projects in about an hour if we have sufficient help. |

We have sponsored a Christmas Party for kids for many years. Children from the Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Harbor House, and Homeless Connections will be our guests. Last year almost 100 children attended the event with a parent or parents. We need members of the Kiwanis Club to help the morning of the party. When you think of Christmas and The Salvation Army, images of a red kettle and bell ringers probably form in your mind. Volunteers and donors make Christmas at The Salvation Army happen. Over the years, the Salvation Army has been fortunate to have the loyalty of many who return year after year to help by volunteering their time in a shift or two of bell ringing. |

Fellow Kiwanians will be an Elf for a day as we support the One Stop Elf Shop in Downtown Appleton. There is also volunteer opportunities for the Holiday Fun Fest happened at the same time. The Elf Shop is a kid friendly shop where children can purchase gifts from downtown businesses for Mom, Dad or their siblings.

Programing is provided at no charge to children, ages 3 - 18, and the adults who care for them. |

Last year, the Help the Homeless campaign collected more than $140,000 worth of new personal hygiene and cleaning products that stayed right here in the Fox Cities. Overall, more than $250,000 worth of these products were received by 43 local crisis agencies from Green Bay to Fond du Lac.

Last year, the Help the Homeless campaign generated a record-breaking $377,000 worth of new hygiene and cleaning products to their local crisis programs in 15 Northeast and Central Wisconsin communities. 89 crisis agencies benefited from the donations. After 25 years, “Help for the Homeless” has provided $2.5 million worth of hygiene supplies to local crisis programs and those they serve.

Flowerama Delivery Volunteers Our members will once again be part of Cupids team as we deliver flowers on Valentine's Day for Flowerama. It is recommended that Deliveries are done with 2 people per vehicle and that each vehicle have a Smart phone or GPS navigation device. It is preferable that the vehicle be a van with the back seats removed or a SUV type vehicle with a flat back area with enough height to carry some taller flower arrangements. |

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) is excited to invite Kiwanis districts to take part in this year’s National Pancake Day at IHOP Restaurants. Each year IHOP locations hold a ‘National Pancake Day’ where they serve a free short stack of pancakes to customers and in return customers can make a voluntary donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, like CHW. Join us as we stuff bags with items that will be given to kids as they enter the Kids Expo. We need to prepare approximately 4000 bags for this event.

Volunteers should arrive at approximately 06:30 PM as the flight is scheduled to return at 8:20PM. Kiwanians will be lining up directly after the military line. We will meet inside the terminal before the security check point. Directions will follow from there. The volunteers from Old Glory are very appreciative of our participation. One of their goals is to have a line of folks welcoming the veteran's back that stretches all the way from the gate to the terminal entrance. Anyone who wishes can stay to help with clean-up. Hope that you can join us. |
