DESCRIPTION:When you think of Christmas and The Salvation Army\, images of
a red kettle and bell ringers probably form in your mind.  Volunteers and
donors make Christmas at The Salvation Army happen. Over the years\, the
Salvation Army has been fortunate to have the loyalty of many who return y
ear after year to help by volunteering their time in a shift or two of bel
l ringing. Once again our club will have designated bell ringing times.
The Thursday evening shifts will be on December 3rd and the Saturday morni
ng shifts on December 5th.  I know many Kiwanis members enjoy ringing wit
h another Kiwanis member\, or a family member.  Kids especially seem to e
njoy helping out\, and what better way than to introduce them to “servic
e” than by having them help you for an hour or two.  Two items to remem
ber:  1) We need to cover all reserved shifts\, and 2) If you sign up ple
ase show up\, or find someone to cover your shift.   Uncovered sites res
ult in fewer donations to the Salvation Army\, and consequently\, fewer ne
edy people helped!   Here are the locations we have currently reserved.
Bell ringing is a unique way to experience the spirit of the season and to
helping others at Christmas through the work of The Salvation Army.  Hop
e that you can join us.  Sign up here: Pending
