There were 26 members in attendance with Les & Mindy visiting from the Aktion Club. Several special events were recognized. Vern reported a can deposit of $85.60. Tom reported on the Greene Co. Fair Food stand. He stated that Saturday night was very good and Sunday evenings event was cancelled due to wet grounds. Hollie reported that the Aktion Club met last week and is looking for ideas for single event community service projects. Let her know if you have ideas. Bill Steussy shared greetings from John Green as he recently visited with him in Sioux City. Dean McAtee invited members to attend their 50th Year of Business Celebration next Tuesday, July 26th from 4-7pm. Vern reminded members to turn in volunteer hours to him asap.

Vern Foje had the program today. He invited Mark Wolterman to visit with us about the Greene County Youth Softball & Baseball Association and their plans to update the Kiwanis built Don Johnston memorial building at their facility. The building needs some work on the roof and siding. The association is planning to do some of the work and Kiwanis is interested in doing some of the smaller improvements. Thanks to Vern and Mark for the update!
