There were 32 members and 4 guests in attendance today. Les & Mindy were visiting from the Aktion Club along with Andy (District Lt. Gov.) and Marjorie Webb of Roland. Andy asked members to consider supporting the Eliminate 25 Alive initiative. Thanks to Andy & Majorie for visiting our club today!

Several Happy Dollars were shared by members. The Open House for the school construction house is June 1st from 5-7pm. Kiwanis will be developing plans to grill and serve a meal as a fundraiser for SkillsUSA during the open house. Vern reported a can drop $63.95 deposit. Linda reported that the Aktion Club met last Monday and will put up 500 flags at the cemetery Saturday, May 28th. Flags will be taken down the following Monday at 4pm if any members can assist the Aktion Club. Linda also requested members to contact her if they are willing to assist ARC with moving some donated furniture.

Randy announced that there will be a grill work session next Wednesday at 6pm at his residence. The following club officers were elected: Bob Schwarkopf-Treasurer, Marla Siruta-Secretary, and Vicki Launter-Vice President. Board members for 2016-17 include: Denny Hammen, Toni Wetrich, and Don VanGilder.

Jack Williams had the program today. He spoke to the club about Mentoring program (Kids With a Connection) through ISU extension. He said there are 11 students currently in the program. There are currently 6 kids without mentors. Ten of the eleven kids that are being mentored have raised their grades since joining the program.
