There were 31 members in attendance today with Les and Mindy visiting from the Aktion Club. Many happy dollars were shared. Hollie reported on the Aktion Club movie Saturday at 2:00pm and Vicky Lautner acknowledged their $500 donation to buy flags for the cemetery. She also noted their Halloween Dance on Sunday Oct. 25th and the need for several Kiwanians to help with the event. 
 
It was also reported that Vern Foje was named one of this year's Friends of the Jefferson Library! Congrats Vern!! Dave stated that there are 63 items on the silent auction in the courthouse rotunda.
 
Dean McAtee had the program today. Carole Custer was present to talk about the Bell Tower Community Foundation. Carole is President of the Bell Tower Community Foundation Board of Directors. She spoke about the history of the tower which was built in 1966. The tower has hosted visitors from all 50 states and 30 countries. Visitor totals are up from 2014 (3,344) with visitors to date in 2015 at 4,625. Kiwanis recently donated $2,000 to pay the entry fee for any child under the age of 18 for the next year.
