The need for more Ragbrai volunteers and hosts was discussed,
Kathy Pittman had the program today. She invited Cale Calder from Bee Mindful LLC in Scranton to speak to the club about the Bee Keeping. The business was founded on November 20, 2012 and is a producer of raw honey and all natural beeswax based skin care products. Beekeeping is the maintenance of honey bee colonies, commonly in hives, by humans. A beekeeper keeps bees in order to collect honey and other products of the hive (including beeswax, pollen, and royal jelly), to pollinate crops, or to produce bees for sale to other beekeepers. There are between 70,000-100,000 bees in each hive. Thanks to Kathy and Cale for the interesting program!
