OFFICIAL MINUTES
The Board of Directors of the Kiwanis Club of Jefferson, Iowa met in regular session at the Greene County Medical Center Education Room on November 10, 2023. President Bill Monroe called the meeting to order at 7:00 AM. Board members in attendance were Bill Raney, Mike Palmer, Tim Buenz, Denny Hammen, Karen Shannon, Chad Butterfield, Sherry Palmer, Bill Steussy, Clancy Clawsen, Larry Teeples, Hollie Roberts, and Jim Teusch. Vern Foje and Randy Monthei were also present. Board member Don Van Gilder was absent.

A motion was made by Butterfield and seconded by Raney to approve the October board minutes as presented. Motion carried.
TREASURER
Raney shared the October Ttreasurer’s report. Buenz made a motion to approve the report as presented. Butterfield seconded the motion. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS
Bookworm Vending Machine - Estimate of the machine was presented as $6,250. Students earn tokens for good behavior, birthdays, other rewards, to use in the machine to earn a book. S Palmer made a motion to contribute up to $2500 toward the project, subject to GCE finding the remaining funding. Butterfield seconded the motion, motion carried.
Pancake Breakfast - Approximate net profit of $4,000 making it one of the most successful breakfasts. Stuessy made a motion to give $200 to Aktion Club. Buenz seconded.
Bike Helmets - 90 Bike Helmets for 4th graders in GCE have been delivered to GCE.
Real Colors - Photo opportunity for at 10:00 on Thurs. Nov 16
NEW BUSINESS
Audited Comittee: Butterfield, S. Palmer, Hammen conducted the audit and showed a successful audit.

Toys for a Cause Dec. 2nd 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Collaboration with Radio, Casino, Kiwanis toy drive. Members and community are invited to bring an unwrapped gift. Butterfield made a motion to participate in the event, Buenz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Shop with Cop Dec. 9 arrive at 11 a.m. to wrapping gifts after children shop with a cop at the LEC basement.
Midwest Mission Randy Monthei shared a kit of school supplies from Midwest Mission. They are looking for groups of people to put kits together. Daytime/afternoon block of 2-3 hours. Monthei will see who is interested and get potential dates
