This year our Half Marathon and 5 KM run will be on Sunday September 16, 2018. The donation from Calm Air, Two tickets to Churchill, will be given to the 1st finishers for men and women in the Half Marathon. Second place finishers for both Male and Female will received two tickets anywhere Calm Air flies.
The Board has decided that for The Half Marathon and 5 KM run for 2018 we will support Knowles Centre and The Bruce Oake Foundation 50/50
Membership Invoices were sent to all members on June 12, 2018. This year, we have another payment option, you can pay your Membership Dues by E-transfer by sending your E-Transfer to martinjcoward@gmail.com.
Paul Harris invoices were sent to members on July 9, 2018. This is the last year for this group.
On July 30, 2018 the District Governor will attend our regular meeting.
Next Board meeting will be on July 30, 2018 at 11 AM. The District Governor will also attend our Board meeting.
The Bruce Oake Foundation will be having a dinner on August 22, 2018. Don Cherry, Ron Maclean will be in attendance and there will be a performance by Darc’y Oake, Cost per ticket is $300.00 and a tax receipt will be issued for about 75% of the $300. Our club is hoping to get a table for this event. Anyone interested should contact Ted Foreman directly.
We have another Major Sponsor thanks to the efforts of Ted Foreman. Midtown Ford has agreed to sponsor the Half Marathon this year for $25,000. Ten thousand to Knowles Centre and fifteen thousand to the Bruce Oake Foundation.
