Guest Speaker: Constable Dan Noordman was introduced by Roger Gadd. Dan wanted everyone to know how dangerous Fentanyl can be and that taking one pill can kill you. He spoke about losing his Son in June 2015. His son wasn’t a drug user but had a cold and sinus problems that didn’t want to go away. It appears that he got a pill from someone he knew, took it before he went to bed and his father found dead in the morning. When Dan and his family found out that Fentanyl was involved they had a difficult time believing it. Dan and his family lives have now been changed forever. Dan’s son Erin loved music, worked three jobs and had a three year old son. Dan, as part of his job, goes around to schools talking about drugs and how dangerous they are, tells his story about his son and hopes that it will make a difference in the lives of some of the students so that their family does not have to deal with the death of a child like they had to. Dan, wants everyone to talk about drugs to their love ones. The more we talk about it the more people will hear the message, let’s hope that most of them listen before it is too late. Habee thanked Dan for coming to talk to us.
