Sergeant-at-Arms: Ron Miller Happy Bucks: Ted, Ron, Russ and Dorothy The weekly accumulator draw, today, was $77.00. Tony Diala drew the Ace of Spades. Guest Speaker: Our Guest speaker, Steven Neufeld .Chief Officer of the Niverville Heritage Centre. A few years back the community of Niverville was impressed with their ability to attract young families but realized that they did not have any support of older people so the older residents just left the community. They decided to do something about this, so after much consulting with the community they decided to develop the Niverville Heritage Centre. It took lots of fund raising and people with means, in the community, stepping up to support this project. They now have Independent Living, Assisted living, Supportive Housing, Personal Care home and Special care. This has been all accomplished without any tax dollars. They do receive government money for the Doctors and nurses that run the various health facilities. This centre also has Dentist, Hair Salon, Pharmacy, Cookhouse and Tavern and an Atrium which has become the gathering place for the community. They have just completed several condos for retirement living which they are selling as Life Leases. Don Fletcher thanked Steve for his time with us.
