We were pleased to welcome

Ron Miller, our president, presided over our meeting today. Thanks to all who attended.

 

The Rotary Clubs of Winnipeg had their Paul Harris Fellow Dinner on October 30th to recognize people who have contributed to Rotary over the years. Our club recognized Mary Dempster and Kevin Schultz. They both received Paul Harris Fellow Awards. The Dinner was well attended and a success. The Rotary Clubs of Winnipeg are hping to make this event a yearly event. An email has been sent to all members with the press release for the event along with pictures from the event.

 

Our guest speaker on November 17th will be speakers from the Amarok Society. They were founded fifteen years ago by Gem and Tanyss Munro. They provide education to some of the poorest children on earth. A separate email will be sent with their Bio and more details about the Amarok Society.

 

On December 1st our D.G. Wayne Jacobson will attend our club. He will set in on our Board meeting and after that our regular meeting. We would like for everyone who can attend our meetings on November 17 and December 1st please do so.

 

 

 

Jeff Miller and Shelley Killeen will do the webinar again this year so we can qualify for Grants.

 

A reminder to all Rotarians - the Rotary Learning Centre is an excellent source of information about Rotary.

 

 

 

Our next board meeting will be Monday November 17, 2025 at Rotary Villa.

 

Sergeant-at-Arms:

 

Ted McIntosh will be our Sergeant-at-Arms for the rest out our current Rotary year.

 

The weekly accumulator draw was for $45.00, Owoola Bello drew the Queen of Spades.

Until further notice our meetings will be held at Rotary Villa, 528 Hudson Street, Winnipeg, MB. We had a conversation with the school next door and they have agreed that we can park at the school on Mondays when we have our meetings. They have asked that we park in the middle area, as the perimeter parking is for staff.

 

Rotary meeting dates for the next few months will be as follows:

 

Meeting Dates in November - 17th. Nov. 17 will also be a board meeting

Meeting Date in December - 1st & 15th. Dec 1st will also be a board meeting

Meeting Dates in January 26 - 5th & 19th. Jan/26 will also be a board meeting.

Meeting Dates in February - 2nd & 23rd. Feb. 23rd will also be a board meeting.

Meeting Dates in March - 9th & 23rd - March 22rd will also be a board meeting.

Meeting Dates in April - 13th & 27th. April 27th will also be a board meetings.

Meeting Dates in May - 11th & 25th. May 25th will also be a board meeting.

Meeting Dates in June - 8th & 22nd. June 22nd will also be a board meeting.
