Hal Brownlee, our President, held a Zoom meeting this week, thanks to everyone who participated.
Our 2021 Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021. St. Vital Park has been booked. Because of COVID, if we haven’t received approval for our Half Marathon for 2021 by August 1st, the 2021 Half Marathon will be Cancelled.

The weekly accumulator draw, will be suspended until we resume in-person meetings.
Speaker: Ted Foreman did his craft talk this week. In his early years he did farm work. Later he bought the third rated ESSO Station in Winnipeg. In 1962 he sold the ESSO Station and went to work for Investors. Ted retired in 2004 from investors. Ted had a very successful career with Investors and had many hockey players as clients. Except for the first three years he was always a member of the million club. Ted was also co-owner of the Winnipeg South Blues for several years. Ted was always a civic minded person and has been involved in many fun raisers over the years. He belonged to the Shiners for 52 and Fort Garry Rotary for 59 years and counting. He was involved in the fundraiser that honoured Janice Filmon That raised approximately one hundred thousand dollars. $80,000 went to the Victoria Hospital and $20,000 to Fort Garry Rotary. It’s not possible to cover everything that Ted was involved with over the years’. This will give you an idea of what Ted has accomplished.

District Conference is scheduled for Melford May 14-15 2021.The theme for this years conference is The Family of Rotary. This conference has been moved to an online conference.
Rotary International Convention will be virtual this year and will be held June 12th to 16th.
Next Zoom Meeting will be June 14, 2021 at Noon.
