Our 2021 Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021. St. Vital Park has been booked. The Half Marathon Committee had a meeting last week and the decision was made to proceed with the Half Marathon this year.. We will need lots of volunteers this year because the thinking is that the schools might not want their students to participate this year because of COVID. The Half Marathon Committee has asked that each member try and provide a few volunteers. Yourself, family or friends ETC.
Our Half Marathon Committee is busy getting donations for our run on September 19th. If you know someone that could donate please let Ron Miller know.
Our District 5550 will be riding again this year to support The Ripple Effect Program on Saturday, August 21, 2021. This is a Rotary sponsored that builds schools, provides scholarships and works with the Department of Education in Guatemala, one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere.
This year’s ride will be The Floyd Manz Memorial Ride in honour of Floyd Manz who passed away as the result of a motorcycle accident .
. Floyd was a member of the Rotary Club of Regina and rode in our Ripple Effect Ride for 6 years beginning in 2015. During that time he raised $14,384. Donations can be arranged with Peter Neufeldt 306-535-8526 ( Regina) or at peter@peakperformanceconsulting.ca
