G E A R Next ZOOM meeting: Monday August 10, 2020 at Noon Guest Speaker: TBA We were pleased to welcome Joanne Gordon Hal Brownlee, our President, arranged for a Zoom meeting. Thanks to all those who participated. We had received an email that the Holiday Inn was open for business and we could start having meetings again. However, when I asked, on July 6th, when we could start our meeting, I was told that it would be at least September. The person who sent me the email had sent incorrect information. So it looks like we will be having Zoom meetings for another couple of months. Membership Dues are now due. The membership invoice can be paid by E- Transfer by sending an email to martinjcoward@gmail.com If you decide to pay by cheque, please mail the cheque to the address on the invoice. No Zoom meeting next week August 3, 2020 because of the Civic Holiday Half Marathon for 2020 will be on Sunday September 20th. We are hoping to proceed with a “LIVE” Marathon. However, a firm decision has not been made yet. We keep running into little issues that all together are beginning to add up. We received word from the running room that they are not supporting any “live” runs this year. This means that runners will have to pick up their information from some other location. It is believed that they will accept runners fees, The Marathon Committee will be having a meeting and by our next meeting on August 13th we should know how we will handle the Half Marathon this year, Sergeant-at-Arms: Happy Bucks: The weekly accumulator draw, suspended until we can have live meetings.
