District 5550 Conference will be held in Kenora May 25 – 28, 2017.Registriation is available on the website.
R.I. Conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia June 10 – 16, 2017. Registration is now available through the RI website.
On February 13, 2017 our guest speaker will be Scott Oake. We would like to have a large attendance to listen to Scott speak about the opioid epidemic and share the story of his sons’ fatal addiction.

The weekly accumulator draw this week was for $62.00. Shelley Killeen drew the Jack of Clubs.
Guest Speaker; Our Guest speaker. Craig Skomberg was introduced by Scott Anderson. Craig spoke about the history of Airships. Showed how they have developed over the years and the various usages for the Airships. He also spoke about how a group in Manitoba is looking into the possibility of using Airships in the future to move freight to Northern Manitoba and beyond. He also spoke about a mining company in Quebec has signed an agreement to move everything to and from their mining site by using Airships. Shelley Killeen thanked Craig for taking the time to come and speak with us.

Next meeting will be January 30 at 12:15 PM at the Holiday Inn. Our speaker will Mike Moore, President Manitoba Builders Assoc. Mike will talk about the new growth tax that the City of Winnipeg has just introduced.
Our Speaker for February 13, 2017 will be Scott Oake. Scot will talk about the opioid epidemic and share the story of his sons’ fatal addiction. Lunch on February 13, 2017 will be $25.00. On February 17, 2017 the 16th Annual Big Daddy Tazz & Friends Comedy Night in support of Childrens’ Charities will be held at Pantages Playhouse Theatre. Doors open at 6:00 PM Show starts at 7:30 PM. This event is Sponsored by The Rotary Club of Winnipeg East. Some tickets are available from our club by contacting Steve Gallagher.
We have decided to continue with our once morning a month meeting. The idea was to have the morning meeting on the third Monday of each month but because of holidays this will not always be possible. So the dates for the morning meetings for the next six months are:
