There are still three members who haven’t paid their membership, these Memberships are now pass due. The membership invoice can be paid by E- Transfer by sending an email to martinjcoward@gmail.com If you decide to pay by cheque, please mail the cheque to the address on the invoice

 

Starting September 14, 2020 we will resume our meetings at the Holiday Inn. Please check the board when you arrive to determine which room we will be in. Holiday Inn will require the use of masks until we are inside our meeting room. Lunch will be Chef Choice or Fruit Plate.

 

Because of social distancing we would prefer that everyone pay in advance. This would be done via e-transfer to martinjcoward@gmail.com. You can buy several lunches at a time or you can send me a weekly transfer. Multiple meals at a time would be preferred. I would keep track and when your amount gets low I would send you an invoice for more meals. If you are not able to attend the meeting one week you do not pay for that week. However, if you tell me that you are attending the meeting and don’t show, you still would be charged for the meeting because we are responsible for the meals that we said we required.

 

A separate email will be sent out early next week to find out who will attend the meeting on the 14^th and which lunch (Chef Choice or Fruit Plate) you would like.

We had a long discussion on how to increase membership and how to raise funds. Some of the ideas put forth were, Rotary become more active in community projects to raise our profile in the community. Speak to graduating classes of professional For example, CPA, Lawyers, Business Graduates etc. We should ask them to a meeting so they can see what Rotary is all about. A board meeting is to be arranged to talk about this and to create a committee for Raising Money and Increasing membership. We also spoke about contacting members who do not come to our meetings to find out why. We have a need to become more structured in our efforts. Less talk more action.

 

Rotary International will be hosting an on line summit on September 22, 2020. If you would to participate, you can logon on to Rotary International – My Rotary for details and to register. My Rotary also has videos for the district on various topic that anyone can access.

 

Rotary will be having e-RYLA this year anyone wanting to participate will need to register by September 12^th, The e-REYLA sessions will run on Sept. 12, 19, 26 and October 3^rd. More information is available from the following sites

 

 

We would like to start up with our speakers again. If outside speakers are not available maybe some members would like to give a “Craft” talk.
