Hal Brownlee was elected as Vice-President and will become our president next year, July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.
November 11, 2017 falls on a Saturday this year. We are planning to have our Remembrance Day lunch at Rotary Villa on Friday November 10, 2017
Going forward we are planning on having speakers the second and fourth week of each month. We are hopeful that if our members know in advance when we will have speakers they can plan on attending. To have a speaker and only have a half a dozen people in attendance doesn’t reflect very well on our club.
Good Well Weekend for 2017 has been cancelled.
Our Half Marathon and 5 KM run was held on Sunday September 17, 2017. We had another successful run, a big THANK YOU to all of our volunteers and sponsors. A special thank you to Pat O’Connor and his company Blackwood Family Enterprise Services and Jeff and Ron Miller and their company Thomas Design Builders for their support, without which the Half Marathon & 5 Km run might not be possible.

The weekly accumulator draw this week was for $37.00. Ron Miller drew the Queen of Spades and won the draw. However, Ron decided not to take the money and let the pot grow. Guest Speaker: No speaker but we did talk about the Half Marathon and looked at what could be done better for future runs and the areas that we did very well. A list was made and taken to be discussed at the next Half Marathon meeting. Some of the items discussed were: Check-In place for Rotarians, More help required on Saturday for set-up, More T-Shirts in the larger sizes, Thank-you to sponsors and volunteers, Organizational Chart etc.
