Ron Miller, president, presided over our meeting today. Thanks to all who attended.
On September 27, 2026 our 14rh Annual Marathon and 5 Km run took place. Our run was very successful and we had 770 runners this year. Half Marathon 428 and 5 KM Fun Run 342. That was our largest number of runners ever. We are hoping to have all of our expenses by the end of October.
A big thank you to all members and volunteers who help to make this event the great success that it was. Our Half Marathon and 5 KM Fun Run for 2027 is scheduled for September 26, 2027
Now that our Half Marathon and 5 Km Fun Run is over for this year we will be turning our attention to increasing our membership. Some ideas that are going to be worked on are:
-Work with Fort Richmond Collegiate to arrange a meeting with parents of our Rotaract Club to see if they are interested in joining our Rotary Club
- Transcona Rotary Club has had good success in increasing their membership a meeting is to be arranged with their president to see if we can adopt some of their ideas.
- Set up a meeting with Dr David Marsh to ask his help in increasing our membership.
Our President Ron Miller presented Jeff Miller with his latest Paul Harris. This is about Jeff's seventh Paul Harris.
Sergeant-at-Arms:
Ted McIntosh will be our Sergeant-at-Arms for the rest out our current Rotary year.
The weekly accumulator draw was for $6.00, Ed Baetz drew the Jack of Hearts. The winning card is the King of Spades.

Until further notice our meetings will be held at Rotary Villa, 528 Hudson Street, Winnipeg, MB. We had a conversation with the school next door and they have agreed that we can park at the school on Mondays when we have our meetings. They have asked that we park in the middle area, as the perimeter parking is for staff.
Rotary meeting dates until the end of 2026 will be as follows:
Meeting dates on Nov. - 2nd & 23rd. Nov. 23rd will also be a Board Meeting
Meeting dates in Dec. - 7th & 14th. Dec. 14th will also be a Board Meeting
