- The 2019 – 2020 Membership Fee is now past due. Invoices have been re-sent to members who have not paid. You can pay by Cash, Cheque or e-transfers. If paying by e-transfer the transfer must be sent to Martin Coward at martinjcoward@gmail..com
- Our District Governor will be coming to Winnipeg for meetings on October 8, 2019. These meetings will be held at Canad Inns Polo Park. All members are encouraged to attend one of meetings. All details will be resent to you again. We will not be having a meeting on October 7th to help encourage members to attend the District Governor meeting on October 8th.
- On October 24, 2019 the Winnipeg Rotary Club will be hosting a Ride for Polio at the Winnipeg Winter Club at 7:15 PM. Our club would like to enter a team, a team would be made up of four people each riding for 15 minutes. If you would like to sign up please let Hal Brownlee know. All monies that we collect for Fines and Happy/Sad Bucks for the next month will be donated to the Ride for Polio. At our Board meeting today it was agreed that we would donate $1,000 to the Ride for polio, this would in addition to the amount that we collect in Fines and Happy Bucks/Sad Bucks over the next month. Guest Speaker: Barry Hartley introduced our speaker, Tony Malyk, he has written a book called ‘Leaky Bucket of Profits”. He touched on the main topics of his book and spoke about how owners of small businesses can underachieve in sales and profits if they don’t pay close attention to all aspects of their business. How Inventory turns and cash flow needs to be watched. He was selling his book for $20.00 and he gave half of the sale back to Rotary to go towards Ride for Polio. From the sale of his book today he gave $80 to Rotary for Ride for Polio.
