G E A R Next meeting: Monday October 29, 2018 at 12:15 Guest Speaker: Jessalie MaCam Our president, Hal Brownlee, opened the meeting with the signing of O’Canada and Rotary Grace. We were pleased to welcome Ed Announcements - No Meeting on November 12, 2018 because we will all be at Rotary Villa on November 11th for Remembrance Day
- Next Board Meeting will be on December 3, 2018.
- On Sunday November 11th we will once again be having our Remembrance Day Service at Rotary Villa. Lunch will be at 12 Noon with the service to follow. All Rotarians are invited to attend.
- Our speaker on October 29, 2018 will be Jessalie MaCam a student from Gordon Bell. She attended Human Rights Rotary Adventurer. She will be talking about her experience.
- Jeff Miller announced that unless the Career Symposium can get some support from some level of Government or from the community this will be the last year that Rotary will be involved. Without support the Career Symposium is projected to be about $50,000 short this year. The biggest expense is the rental of the convention centre. The committee is actively trying to get financial support.
