G E A R Next meeting: Monday July 29, 2019 at 12:15 Guest Speaker: TBA Hal Brownlee, our President, opened the meeting only a small group today so we went directly to lunch and fellowship. We were pleased to welcome George and Julie Announcement. - The club would like to get one or two groups of five together for Paul Harris Fellowship. Paul Harris Fellowship requires a donation of $1,000 US, the club will pay the exchange rate. To make it easier for our members to get the Paul Harris Fellowship, we have been doing it in groups of five. The members in the group would contribute $200 a year for five years. Each year a members name is drawn and they will receive the Paul Harris Fellowship for that year and will receive the charitable donation for that year. We already have four members for one group but require one more to complete the group. If you are interested please contact Hal Brownlee or Martin Coward. This is also counted as our clubs contribution to Rotary International and allows us to get some money back for RAHR, Scholarships etc.

- This year the Half Marathon and 5KM run will be held on September 15, 2019. Half Marathon and 5KM Fun Run online registration for our Half Marathon and 5KM run is now open. Thanks to the efforts of Ron Miller and Ted Foreman we have three platinum partners this year, Pollard Foundation, Midtown Ford and Subterranean. We have commitment from sponsors of over $60,000 so far. Calm Air is also providing prizes the same as last year. First place prize for men and women – Two tickets each to Churchill, one night accommodation and two tours (Beluga Whales and Fort Churchill. Second place prize for men and women – Round trip pass for two people each to travel anywhere in Manitoba were Calm Air Flys.
- The 2019 – 2020 Membership Fee is now due. You can pay Aby Cash, Cheque or e-transfers. If paying by e-transfer the transfer must be sent to Martin Coward at martinjcoward@gmail..com
- The next conference will be in Hawaii in 2020
