- Dr. Neil Craton will be our speaker on
- April 29th - Dr. Neil Craton, Doctor for Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He also volunteers at Siloam Mission. He will talk about the Wisdom from the Homeless. He has written a book about this with all profits going to Siloam Mission. Lunch for April 29th will be $25.00. With $5.00 going to Siloam Mission. Our Club will match the amount raised.
Half Marathon and 5KM Fun Run
Online registration for our Half Marathon and 5KM run is now open.
- It was decided that for this year our donation from our run will be split between Bruce Oak Foundation (80%) and Knowles Centre (20%).
- Dorothy Taylor and Barry Hartley has agreed to be on the Half Marathon & 5KM run planning committee.
- We are still looking for a major sponsor for 2019
- Teddy Bear Picnic – we will be cooking the food again this year for the Teddy Bear Picnic. Plans are well underway. We will require volunteers again this year. The Teddy Bear Picnic will be held on May 26th in Assiniboine Park.
- Our District Conference will be held in Winnipeg this year at Cana Inns Polo Park on May 3rd to 5th, can register on line. If you went to everything the cost would be
$250.00 but you can pick and choose, costs would reflect the number of events that you attend.
We have a new member, Tony Diala, joined our club Monday March 25, 2019.
We are going to review and update our By-laws and Constitution if anyone would like to help with this job please contact Hal Brownlee
Barry Hartley has agreed to be our Membership Director. Our aim is to increase our members. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated by Barry.
