The social committee will be hosting a get together at Monty and Val Bennett's residence in Riverhurst. Details as follows:
When: Monday, August 24, 2020
5:00 p.m. Beverages and informal meeting
6:00 p.m. Dinner
6:30 - ? p.m. Bocce Ball Tournament, weather permitting
There are many activities available at the park, including golfing, fishing, pickle ball, hiking or visiting the beach (very small this year due to high water). If you wish come to the park earlier in the day to take part in any of the above (or to just hang out for the afternoon), please let Monty or Val know asap and they will make arrangements. They can book tee times and can take people fishing. The pickle ball courts are first come, first serve.
Where: 100 Sargent Crescent, Palliser Park (suggest car pooling as park charges $10.00/car)
Directions: Take Hwy 2 north of Moose Jaw to Tuxford. Turn left onto Hwy 42 W towards Central Butte. Continue on Hwy 42. Go past Riverhurst about 3 km and turn left onto the Hwy to Morse and Palliser Park. Follow signs. Go south for 3 km to Palliser Park turn-off. Stop at the park gate, go past the Mainstay Inn, go around the curve and take the first right into the cottage development. At the T-junction, turn right again. Bennetts are the third house on the left (a grey sided bungalow with two large blue spruce in front).
What to bring: Beverage of choice (tea/coffee provided)/ lawn chair/ potluck contribution: appetizers, salad, or dessert. Bennetts providing main course; either smoked brisket or pulled pork. A designated masked server will load plates, so that people can remain physically distant and to prevent cross contamination. Plates, cups and cutlery will be provided. If you would prefer to not participate in the potluck, please feel free to bring your own meal for consumption.
