PRRA

I grew up in Austin, Manitoba and lived there until my early twenties. During this time I completed high school at MacGregor Collegiate and received a diploma in Business Administration specializing in Accounting from Assiniboine Community College in Brandon. I spent the majority of my time playing sports growing up competitively including hockey, soccer, basketball and baseball. I also held a part-time job since the age of 14, which made for a very busy schedule as many of you would know. I’ve continued to play sports at a competitive level once graduating from high school , I played hockey for the Assiniboine Community College Cougars in 2010 winning the last Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference Championship in Men’s Hockey. I continue to play soccer here with the Portage Aeros, I have been a member of the Portage Soccer Club since 2006 playing with either the United or Aeros. The lessons and skills I learnt growing up playing sports and holding a part time job at the same time have been invaluable. I use these skills on a daily basis to juggle a full schedule but also ensure everything I do gets my full attention.

After completing my diploma I went on to work for Meyer’s Norris Penny out of the Neepawa office upon completion of my term I accepted a new position with the MNP office in Winnipeg. Overall I spent one year working with MNP before settling into an accounting position with the PRRA, during this time I was able to learn new things that I continue to use today.

I’ve been with the PRRA for three and a half years and have enjoyed every minute of it! Growing up the dream was always to play in the NHL like most young kids, can’t say I made it but I do get to come work in the arena every day and you can’t beat that!
