Geoff Croad was at the door, John Chirio had his inaugural appearance as Chairman and Andy Bell was Sergeant.  We had apologies from President Jo Winwood, Simon Brook, Paul Seymour, Neil Thurlow and Darrell Brown.

Andy Bell, on behalf of President Jo, welcomed all members and guests: Past District Governor Graham Jones, David Bonifant (RC of Broadbeach) and four of his fellow members of The Blenders Choir (see separate report above).

Andy briefly reported on the Board Meeting that took place on Monday, then handed over to PDG Graham Jones who had some fantastic news (see separate article above).

Larry Murray advised that on Friday he'll meet a delegation of an organization looking for wheelchairs for Bangladesh at the Project Shed.  Franz Huber reminded members that registrations for the District Conference will close on Sunday, Angus Miller outlined the details of Saturday's 'Guess who is coming to dinner?' event, Ray Higgs invited members to join him at an upcoming Peace & Conflict Resolution seminar at the St Lucia Campus of UQ, where the current group of Rotary Scholars will outline their experiences and projects.
