It's good to have a social breakfast occasionally - no official business, no Sergeant, no Guest Speaker, just good ol' fellowship.  Keeping in mind that the First Objective of Rotary is 'The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service'.

So it was last Wednesday at our new venue, the Pavilion at the Southport Surf Life Saving Club. But we still had a presentation anyway: Mario Fairlie got himself a "new" Mercedes - see photo on left.  Well, actually it is not new, but it is worth more than a new one and it is as rare as hen's teeth: It is a 1954 model of the Mercedes Benz  “Adenauer” Limousine 300b. Not sure whether the matching shirt was intentional or not, but knowing Mario, he never leaves much to chance, so I suspect it is not... Ed.  ☺
