Meeting of January 10
We sang O’ Canada accompanied by Michael and Manon at the now standard faster tempo. (Editor’s note:  I enjoy the faster tempo and struggle when it is played at slower tempo).

David Richardson was Greeter and provided the Invocation.
President Sid was back and he chaired the Rotary luncheon meeting and opened with a reminder about the availability of COG sponsorships.  Please contact Dave Holden if you are interested in sponsoring the COG for one or more weeks.

Our Speaker Colin Glassco
Our speaker was introduced by Eva Friesen.

The Glassco Foundation received its charitable status in 1996. Our mandate is to seek out children's issues in Canada and overseas, provide financial and organizational assistance as well as on-site support.

As the administration expenses of the Foundation are covered by a special donation 100% of all outside donations including those received from Canadahelps.org (estimated to be $10,000 annually) go directly to the children.

Rotary Office survives Kahanoff expansion
For 2 years the Rotary office put up with drilling and vibration strong enough to shake the pictures off the wall.   The Kahanoff Centre recognized the discomfort we suffered by giving us a plaque on... what else... a brick from the wall.
