Highlights from the meeting May 26, 2015
By Andrea Serink
The head table was marched in accompanied by Frank McKitrick on piano. President Ron called the meeting to order and thanked us for continuing to invite guests to our meetings as it is an important part of attracting new members. Julie Visser gave a thoughtful invocation and we quickly ate our lunch as there were many items on the agenda to cover.

Foundations Committee Update
By Andrea Serink
Terry McMahon, Chair of our Foundations Committee, presented on theCRCF and TRF fundsexplaining that the foundations exist to preserve, manage and increase significant pools of money. Our club then reviews, through our Board and committee representatives, opportunities to spend that money in accordance with Rotary objectives. The money which is allocated out by our two foundations tends to be used in three main areas, Education, Health and Youth. The purpose of the presentation was to recognize our club’s generosity (and to encourage others to do the same) with a variety of awards including Paul Harris Fellowships, level recognition and the names on the MayhoodHonour Roll (MHR).
