The purpose of the White Slip is to inform Members of a pending Application for Membership. The White Slip is posted for two weeks in the COG, and during this period any member can submit an objection to the application. After the White Slip period, the Application is then presented to the Board for approval.
Calgary's Parks Foundation and Hopewell Residential are hosting celebration of the Rotary/Mattamy Greenway on October 8 at the Mahogany fitness park. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Please be advised that nominations for the 2015 Board of Directors are now open. There are four director positions and the Secretary position open for nomination. Please advise Rob Brookwell (President-elect), Barb Young (Secretary) or Jo-Anne Clarke (Office Manager) in writing via email or letter of any nominations. The nomination period will close at the end of October.
We were truly privileged to honour twelve past-presidents of the Calgary Stampede with Paul Harris Fellowships. Bob Thompson, the current President and Chairman of the Calgary Stampede's board of directors, updated the club on current developments at the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
Bob Thompson, who has volunteered with the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth since 1987, shared some of the exciting projects in development at the Calgary Stampede.
