In accordance with our By-Laws, nominations for the Office of President for the 2016-2017 Rotary year are open as of noon on Tuesday, October 14, and close at noon on Wednesday, November 12.
The Nominating Committee of past presidents, the President-Elect, President, and current second year directors will meet to choose a nominee to serve as Club President for the year 2016-2017. To choose a nominee, they receive and review a list of all members of the club who are eligible for nomination to the office of President. Committee members vote to create a short list, and, following a committee discussion, ballots are cast to select the nominee. The nominee selected the committee will be announced at the October 29 off-site meeting event, and by newsletter.
Following the October 29 announcement, any additional nominations from the members of the club may be made by delivering a formal nomination letter, signed by the nominee and at least 12 members of the club in good standing, to the Secretary of the club not later than 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 12.
