Highlights from the meeting July 28, 2015

President Elect Sid Mark called the meeting to order and thanked the volunteers and COG sponsor. Michael Pierson played a moving version of Oh Canada that inspired us to sing like we meant it. Madeleine King gave a thought provoking invocation and Eric Bennett introduced some special guests including visiting Rotarians and engineering summer students from China who were studying at U of C.
Sid Mark introduced John Seigner who was a long term member of the Banff Rotary Club and is now a member of our Rotary Club. He is also the Housing, Accommodation Ambassador at the Ability Hub.
Rotary/Mattamy Greenway Celebration: September 16, 2015
The Rotary/Mattamy Greenway is developing well beyond expectations. According to the Calgary Parks Foundation 80% of the 138 km network of pathway and specialty parks, was completed by the end of 2014. Currently, the project is 90% funded and have contracts awarded that will see 90% of the $60 million Greenway completed by the end of this year.
