We have successfully celebrated Oktoberfest several times over the past number of years. New for this year we are going to enjoy one of the highest ranked pubs for German food and Oktoberfest atmosphere’s in Calgary -- Wurst! Organize a group of 2-10 people and pre-book your table with Maria. Call Maria @403-245-2345, to book a table {Indicate Rotary when you call} in the beer hall for October 4, 2014 at 6:00/6:30 PM. It is recommended you arrive within 15 minutes of your reservation time. Instead of a pre-paid ticket with a buffet as we did in the past, your cost for the evening is based on your selections from the full menu/bar options. Rotary Club of Calgary is making a BIG difference! Since 1999, your support of adult learners building literacy skills has had positive impact on over 200 BVC learner’s lives. With your commitment to improving adult literacy in Calgary, you have helped write so many success stories! THANK YOU! Join BVC’s Joan Wolf and Corey McKeown on February 17 as they share more about the impact Rotary Club of Calgary Downtown Chapter is making in the lives of BVC learners, and the community through adult learning. Learn more about new initiatives and programs at Calgary’s only community college. Corey McKeown, CFRE, is a professional fundraiser, networker and mentor. Over the last decade he has actively expanded his fundraising experience, pushing himself to work in every facet of the fundraising industry. Corey is a designated CFRE and an active member of AFP. He is a campaign fund developer having worked with a broad spectrum of donors and fundraising constituent groups. Serving the non-profit sector is a passion for Corey; he is a matter developer… every person has a purpose and a want to matter. Joan Wolf is an advancement professional with a solid reputation for exceling in all areas of fundraising. She successfully aligns people and processes, builds community and industry, driving it to its fullest potential. Strategically providing counsel to non-profit organizations and working closely within the educational and private/public service sectors to increase the well-being of humankind.
