 Greetings Fellow Rotarians! What a fantastic night we had at our last meeting. If you weren't able to make it, you missed a big one. District Governor Andy Rajapakse gave an engaging and inspiring talk with our club about Rotary, reminding us all of the power of Rotary and the positive differences we are making in people's lives. In addition to this, I am equally impressed by the effort of our members who participated in the Mental Health Hat Day on the night. We were dazzled by the menagerie of hats on display, however, there could be only one winner! The accolades of this going to Sue Geelan for her mammoth effort, with a 3 story Xmas/Winter Themed hat that came with its own light show. Tremendous! We hope you enjoy your gift voucher to the Cheesecake Shop. We also raised an amazing $155 from the night for Mental Health. Well done and a HUGE thank you to everyone on the night!! Our next club meeting is at the Southport Golf Club on Thursday 05 November where our Guest Speaker for the evening will be John McCann. He is a man of many talents, one of which is helping people to identify their strengths, and create positive changes in their lives. This will be a great night with some interactive activities, so make sure you don't miss out. On a sad note, Past President Rowan Johnstone's father has recently passed away. Please keep Rowan and his family in your prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.
