Shady Creek Work Party

The new Rotary year has arrived and our first official community service effort will be another great weekend at Shady Creek!

• WHO: The Rotary Clubs of Yuba City and Marysville.
• WHAT: A service project to benefit our local schoolchildren as part of their Shady Creek Outdoor School experience.
• WHEN: August 17-18; arrive Saturday morning by nine, depart Sunday mid-morning
• WHERE: Shady Creek, 18601 Pathfinder Way, Nevada City, CA 95959
• WHY: Family fun, fellowship and service

The focus of our weekend is fun. It’s an enjoyable time for Rotary families to get together and enjoy both work and play. There are projects for the adults and the kids. The timeframe for “work” usually extends from Saturday morning through mid afternoon. We then head to the pool for a refreshing dip, then to dinner, then in the evening of campfire songs and Smore‘s.

All meals and lodging are provided (a separate cabin for each family). You simply need to bring a sleeping bag and the usual toiletries.
