Metro Rotary Partners with Lubbock Meals on Wheels

The Rotary Club of Metropolitan Lubbock has been driving 2 delivery routes for Lubbock Meals on Wheels every Friday since 1985.  What's more, the first delivery van used by Meals on Wheels (MOW) was donated to the organization by Metropolitan Lubbock Rotary.  In addition to delivering good, nutritious meals to elderly and disabled people on our routes, we occasionally mow their lawns during the spring and summer.

We don't just donate our time to this great organization.  We also raise thousands of dollars a year for Meals on Wheels through our annual Oktoberfest event.

Our club usually meets for one breakfast meeting per year at the MOW office.  We tour their facilities, train Rotary members as drivers, and keep all our members acquainted with the great services and good, nutritious meals that Meals on Wheels provides for the over-700 home-bound persons on its routes.
